Guatemala

Guatemala is a fascinating country with stunning natural habitats. There are thirty-seven volcanoes, some of them still active, that are spread across the country. These are not only part of emblematic landscapes, but are also responsible, in part, for the different characteristics found in the coffees of each region.

As rich as its nature, so is Guatemala's indigenous culture. This fact is due to the fact that many Guatemalans still live quite isolated with their ancestral traditions and cultures.

It should also be noted that since the end of the civil war at the end of the 20th century, sustainable agriculture and the cultivation of high-quality coffee have helped stabilize incomes and build a foundation for future generations.

The Region of Huehuetenango

Huehuetenango is located in the northwestern region and offers one of the largest
most spectacular cafes in the country. It should also be mentioned that this department is located in a high and dry region. Its coffee grows at a height of around 2.000 meters above sea level (msnm) and its grain is characterized by a fine and intense acidity.

In particular, these plantations are usually grown on slopes greater than 50% and in mountains above 1700 meters above sea level, with a clayey soil with little stony, which means that the plant has an adequate development.
On the other hand, the care of the plant, providing it with the right nutrients based on soil analysis, and the care of its environment, implementing natural barriers and alleys so as not to lose the richness of the soil with the rains, are the basis to achieve constant and quality production every year.
